Is anybody reading all the crafty blogs out there? There are millions. And they are getting to me. I decided to make Charlie's stocking this year, since we really aren't going to be using it and therefore it doesn't have to hold up to any wear and tear.
So I took this old sweater that just didn't have any form to it anymore...
And found a felt stocking at JoAnns for under $2. Used it as a pattern on the sweater. Then sewed them together. Ta-da!
Please don't look too closely.
P.S. It probably took me an hour because I accidentally sewed the top together and had to unpick it. Otherwise it only would have taken a few minutes.
P.P.S. Yes, I am expecting my stocking to be completely filled to the top. I've been good this year.

Look how dang crafty you are. I am so very impressed with your skills. Come teach me!!! ~lindy
You are so talented Tricia. I hope that stocking is filled to the top for you Christmas morning.
All your craftiness kills me! This and that other sweater-dress?!? Seriously, I'm impressed with your ability to keep re-using all your old stuff. It's inspiring me to do more stuff like this...in the future, of course.
Being that I fill my own stocking, I could TOTALLY fill that to the top if it was my own!
Love it!! You even did such a cute lip at the top! Was that a separate piece you sewed on? So cute.
Look at you Martha Stewart! Wanna make us some stockings? I have lots of old clothes! Our mantle was bare this year.
