My mom is a great gift giver. But recently she was thwarted by millions of crazy teenagers (and many of my crazy friends I'm sure) who have fallen deeply in love with a vampire. While she was in
Washington D.C. with my sister she watched a morning show that had Stephanie Meyer, the author of Twilight and New Moon, as a guest. I guess the host described the book as the next Harry Potter. I don't think I would take it quite that far, but I am a fan. My mom also happened to read
my post about Twilight, and the idea was hatched that she should buy me the third book, Eclipse, that just came out on August 7. She went to Barnes and Nobel and found out that they, and many other stores, are sold out! You cannot buy the book anywhere in the
Salt Lake valley!
I have decided not to be completely mad at all the crazy teenagers, but to take this as a lesson learned. What have I learned, you ask? To come up with something crazy teenagers feel they can't do without and become an instant millionaire! Brilliant, I know.
P.S. This is my 50th post! I feel like celebratin'!

Want to borrow mine?
I am half way through reading it and it is ok?! I was pleasantly surprised yesterday to get a knock on my door to open it and find one of my neighbors with the book in her hand, handing it to me to borrow. It was a great day!! I think that I had talked to her maybe once before. I guess I should be a better neighbor?!!
Thanks Kim, but my mom reserved it so we'll be getting it sometime soon...I hope!
It wasn't me! I don't even have it yet! Blame Paige.
Tricia! It has been a while since I've visited your blog. I have a new one that is all about graphic design, if you're interested, it's in my profile. Congratulations on 50 posts...
