Warning...Very Boring Post

About a month ago Seth and I moved to Pleasant Grove. Here is my list of good and bad things about living in Utah County.

Picture of beautiful Utah Valley courtesy of Flickr.

Bad: There are no street lights here! I can't see a thing when I drive at night, so parents: don't let your kids wander the streets at night like you used to. Because I will hit them and you just shouldn't do that.
Good: I can see stars at night! Previously I thought that was only a camping activity...something like if you are in the mountains you are closer to the stars and can therefore see them.

Bad: There is only one of every store (Target, Home Depot, Lowes, WalMart, Barnes and Noble, Kohls, Roberts, etc.) near my house. What if Target is out of something I want? I used to hop in the car and drive a few minutes to the next one.
Good: There is only one of every store near my house. If Target is out of something I want then I just don't get it and therefore save money.

Bad: My commute is now 45-50 minutes long.
Good: I quit my job because my commute was 45-50 minutes long. (My last day is the 12th. And I'm currently interviewing at a few places near my home.)

Bad: My house is bigger so I have to call Seth, even if we are both home, on the phone if I want to tell him something.
Good: I don't hear any tooting noises from the next room.

Now for the boring part. My sister wants me to post pictures of my home, but I started taking them and they just look awful. So I took video instead. I tried not to make too many comments so I wouldn't be embarrassed about them later, so now it is just boring. And it may make you a little seasick.

Warning: it is seven minutes long.

Facts about my new house:
It is actually a townhome, not a house.
It is really cold because we are scared about what our first gas bill is going to look like.
It has beautiful green carpet straight out of the early '90s or my worst nightmare.
It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. (No we do not need this much room.)
It doesn't have any drawers for silverware in the kitchen.
It has extreme water pressure. My hands feel like they get sandblasted every time I wash them.
It is infested with spiders. I find new silk strings floating around everyday.
It has a big plumb tree out front. (If anyone knows anything about pruning let me know.)

So fun! I LOVE it! I am so jealous - you guys are going to have so much fun redmodeling it (especially with all that cash from your Christmas bonus... Oh wait...) Can't wait to see it!

I took the entire tour and it wasn't boring because the house is huge and has so many quaint characteristics to work with. To go from your other condo to this is like living in Buckingham palace without the maids to clean and the butler to answer the door. If I were you I would just lock some of those bathroom doors so I wouldn't have to clean them ever!!

I love it times infinity, and my new favorite things are the appliances and the window covers in the front room.

Yay!! To my joyous surprise I checked your website to find the long-awaited video of your new home! Thanks!! It's HUGE! I'm so jealous! I can't imagine having an empty storage room. Wow. And other than the green carpet and some storage shelves, the house looks like it needs very little work! (Of course, I know you and I'm sure you will do much with it!) I'm so excited to see it in person in a few weeks!
